THE cops in Mitchells Plain are working hard to fight crime and bring criminals to book.
On Friday morning the cops took to the streets to hand out pamphlets informing people about crime and domestic violence.
Major Gregory Goss said the campaign was in support of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children.
He said the cops will continue to fight any form of crime around Mitchells Plain.
Residents at Beacon Valley, Morgenster, Montclair, Mandalay and Lentegeur welcomed the presence of the police and law enforcement agencies.
Police spokesman Captain Frederick van Wyk said: “The interaction between the police and residents strengthens the partnership and will lead to the elimination of crime by exposing the perpetrators who will be arrested and brought to book.
“Police are also working with neighbourhood watches to fight crime in their areas.”
Goss also thanked the Mitchells Plain residents for working with the police to report criminals in their areas.
He encouraged people to report crime on 08600 10111.
All information will be treated confidentially.
