KGOTSO Gongota was driving home with his girlfriend when he suddenly woke up on top of a tree!

The 20-year-old from Kagiso, Mogale City, told Daily Sun he lost control of the vehicle in the early hours of Friday morning, but couldn’t remember anything else.

Kgotso was thrown out of the vehicle and sustained minor injuries, but his girlfriend was taken to hospital.

“I can’t tell you what happened after I lost control of the car. I woke up to find paramedics and police all around me. My car was in the air, hanging from a tree!” said shocked Kgotso.

He said both he and his girlfriend were lucky to come out of the accident alive.

“The police told me the paramedics rescued my girlfriend from the tree and rushed her to hospital. They treated me at the scene and took me home because I was not seriously injured.”

However, Kgotso said he was angry with towtruck drivers who took his car to their workshop.

“I told them to take it to my house but they didn’t listen. When I went to the workshop, I was told they were charging me extra for taking my car to their workshop,” he said.

Kgotso claims the owner of the workshop said he wouldn’t release the car until Kgotso paid him.

“I told the driver to take the car to my place but he heard what he wanted to hear. I need them to pay back some of my money because they ripped me off.”
