IT’S a scam!

This was a warning from the Free State government.

The government is warning members of the public of a scam promising students who have just passed matric government bursaries if they sent their particulars, including names, home addresses and student numbers to 079 287 3720.

The scam also appeared on another fake Facebook page apparently connected to Hareye Lesedi FM.

Daily Sun called the number yesterday and it rang with no answer.

Free State Premier Ace Magashule said: “The Free State government is aware of the bursaries and scholarships scam, and would like to warn members of the public that it is a hoax.”
