THANDIWE Kuhlengisa was supposed to have been celebrating Women’s Month.

But instead she has been left nursing a broken nose, skull and jaw and a bruised face!

The woman from Newclare in Joburg was brutally beaten last Monday, allegedly by her jealous former boyfriend.

She told Daily Sun: “My friend’s husband came to collect meat I was keeping for them because their fridge was not working. My ex found the man there and started saying I now had male friends.”

Thandiwe said the husband took the meat and left because the situation was tense.

“After he had left my ex started beating me because I ordered him to leave my house. He punched me in the face repeatedly,” she said.

Thandiwe fell face down, but her ex did not stop attacking her and kicked her in the face.

“He didn’t stop until I was unconscious,” she said.

Thandiwe said her relationship with the man ended in 2014 when he kicked her out of his house. They had not lived together since then. She said she recently received wedding photos from his new wife, who was trying to make her jealous.

“I congratulated her, but now I wish I could meet her to show her what this man has done to me,” she said.

Police spokeswoman Lieutenant-Colonel Julia Claassen said a domestic violence case was opened at the Sophiatown station.

“We have not yet arrested the suspect as we are still trying to trace his whereabouts,” she said.
