THERE’S no escaping SunPower!

After the People’s Paper published a photo of a woman alleged to have kidnapped Milena Filishberto’s 20-day-old baby last week, the woman’s family contacted the cops.

The 62-year-old woman was arrested in Njelele, Limpopo, on Friday and is being held at Germiston Police Station in Ekurhuleni.

Five women and a man who had seen the woman in Makause squatter camp in Germiston identified her as the woman who had allegedly disappeared with Milena’s baby.

But the woman has reportedly refused to tell cops where the baby is.

Captain Andre de Jager told the SunTeam the woman was due to appear in court today.

Milena’s baby was taken last month by a woman who pretended to work for the health department.

Milena told Daily Sun: “She came to my place, saying she was looking for women who needed to apply for child grants. We made an appointment to meet at Golden Walk Shopping Centre the following day.”

Milena said when she met the woman, instead of going to the social development department she said they would first go to Pick n Pay to buy clothes.

While Milena was trying on clothes, the woman disappeared with her baby.

Milena said she was praying that the woman would say where her baby was.

Another young woman, Jeannette Mashaba (20), said the same woman tried to take her baby after giving her money to buy yoghurt.

Jeannette said she went to the shop but felt something was wrong and returned to find the woman had already changed her baby into a new set of clothes and was about to run away.

Jeannette said the woman refused to hand over her baby and only let go of the child when she screamed for help.
