ANOTHER ANC MAN KILLED!

accreditation

ANOTHER ANC official in Kwa-Zulu-Natal has been murdered in cold blood.

Sifiso Mlambo (33), a branch secretary at Esikhaleni kasi outside Richards Bay, was shot several times on Wednesday night and died in a nearby clinic.

The incident followed the death of Jozini Councillor Njabulo Dlamini, who was stabbed in the same area on New Year’s day.

According to local ANC leaders, Mlambo’s killers allegedly lured him out of his home at night by pretending to want to hire his bakkie.

A relative of Mlambo said at about 7pm on Wednesday night, a man came to the house and asked Mlambo to deliver goods to Mpembeni.

“We got information that he was shot and was rushed to the clinic, where he died,” said the relative.

ANC regional secretary Tholi Gwala said the party was shocked by Mlambo’s death.

“It seems these hitmen are out to kill politicians all over the province, and are now targeting my region,” said Gwala, who visited the family yesterday.

KZN police spokeswoman Colonel Thembeka Mbhele said Mlambo was shot in the back while off-loading goods from the bakkie.

“The suspect fled the scene in a getaway car. A case of murder is being investigated by Esikhaleni police,” said Mbhele.
