SCORES of women have been queuing to buy fake buttocks to wear under their clothes!
The bum enhancers, which have become a huge hit in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, are known as the Matshidiso Bum, after the character Buhle Samuels plays on SABC 2’s soapie, Muvhango.
Nomsa Dlamini (33) said: “We use body enhancers because we see so many women on TV who are bootylicious and curvy.
“We don’t have big bums like them naturally but at least there is something affordable we can do about it.”
Nomsa, a farm worker outside Mbombela, said she bought bum enhancers in bulk to resell to her co-workers. They’re sold for between R90 and R120.
Delisiwe Makamo (36) from Matsulu said her enhancer made her bum look great when she wore jeans and leggings.
“I feel comfortable wearing it and it gives me a beautiful posture. I can’t deal with a flat bum. I’m also considering buying them in bulk so I can resell them to women in my area.”
Some men are unhappy with the bum enhancers while others say women should do what makes them happy.
Mark Silubane (38) from Mataffin said: “I find them deceitful because men lust after women after noticing their bums, only to find out they’re fake.”
Pat Khoza (26) from Kanyamazane said: “We can’t dictate what women should wear in a democracy. If these fake bums make them happy, let it be. How many people are living fake lives in general?” – AENS
