THANKS to Daily Sun, Vuyo Dabula’s Hunk of The Year Award has been found.

After the People’s Paper published a story last Monday about how his trophy was taken from the Feather Awards at Joburg City Hall, it came to light at a house in Swaneville, Mogale City.

Vuyo, who plays Gadaffi on Generations: The Legacy, said his trophy had been stolen. But Thamsanqa Mamkeyana (29) said he saved it.

“The trophy was being kicked around next to the red carpet and I picked it up,” he said.

“I was shocked when my gogo showed me the story in Daily Sun. I had left the venue with the trophy because most people had been drinking. I later sent Vuyo a message on social media. I wasn’t sure whose award it was because I had gatecrashed the party.

“The strange thing is that Vuyo walked up to me at one point and asked if it was his award. When he saw Hunk of the Year written on it he just said ‘oh’ and walked away,” said Thamsanqa.

His mum, Lorraine Mametja, said: “We’re the kind of people who pick up cellphones and keep them until the owners come forward.”

Vuyo said he was grateful to Daily Sun for finding his award.

“I asked this guy what he was doing with my trophy.

“Even if I didn’t say anything, he knew I had won it. I really have no interest in meeting him or talking to him,” he said.
