Twitter is furious with Bonang for "dropping" a woman she promised to help.

Bonang Matheba is trending on Twitter after allegedly dropping someone she promised to help on Twitter a few months ago.

Nana Mthembu from Durban tweeted early this year, “Just lost a job offer in China cos I don’t have original copies of my degree for [a] visa. I don’t have them why? I owe fees... Wow. Life!! (Sic)”

Then Bonang replied, “lemme help you”.

Bonang then followed Nana and that’s when they started chatting via DM.

Nana even sent her contact details after the reality show star said someone from her office will get hold of her.

But months have come and gone and Nana hasn’t heard anything from Queen B.

Speaking to YOU Magazine, Nana says, she was ecstatic when Bonang offered a helping hand.

“When she was still following me, it gave me hope that she’ll one day respond.”

But that optimism was dashed when Bonang unfollowed her recently.

Twitter went on a frenzy after Nana tweeted that Bonang has unfollowed her.

The 26-year-old studied a Bachelor of Commerce in supply chain management and honours in marketing from the University of KwaZulu-Natal

However, she hasn’t received her qualifications because she owes the university about R51 000.

Nana says she has muted everything on social media because of all the horrible things that people are saying about her.

“Others think I’m a scam... but I never asked Bonang for help... She replied to my tweet,” she adds, sounding dejected.

“Now it’s not even a matter of getting money, it’s about getting employed,” she tells YOU.

She hasn’t lost all hope that there’s a Good Samaritan out there that will help her and she’s even contemplating crowdfunding.

“Please don’t say anything bad. I don’t want drama,” she pleads.

Bonang’s fans have come to her defence, while others have called her “cruel”.

YOU has reached out to Bonang for comment.
