“BOSS lady money is all around you, but you need to know how to access it.”

These are the words of Gugu Khathi, businesswoman and wife of Afrotainment boss DJ Tira.

Gugu will be hosting an exclusive seminar and gala dinner for young businesswoman who want to make it to the top.

The Small Business Gig Game dinner will take place tomorrow at the Park Inn in Sandton, north of Joburg.

Speaking to SunBuzz, she said: “It is a seminar to empower young women in business.

“I host these seminars throughout the year. The first set of seminars helped people start a business. The second series of seminars explored the various ways to showcase a product.

“Now we want to show entrepreneurs how to grow their businesses.”

Gugu is herself an entrepreneur with four profitable businesses.

She has her own salon, spa, events management company and fashion line.

“I also learn a lot from these seminars. I have invited professionals who will break down everything an entrepreneur needs in order to grow their business.”

Lebo Gunguluza, who was one of the panel of judges on Dragon’s Den, is one of the speakers at the event, she said.

“He knows what investors look for.

“He looks at your presentation and he teaches people how to prepare for their big day,” said Gugu.

The businesswoman said she has always had a passion for empowering young women.

She urges the women who will attend to take the opportunity to collaborate and help each other.
