DANCE group, Soweto’s Finest, has dumped its management company, ShowLove.
The group is believed to have had a management deal with Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, owner of ShowLove, but the deal allegedly fell out.
“The guys thought Tebello would elevate them to the next level, but he failed to deliver,” claimed a source.
Another source said the dancers chose to go back to handling their management affairs themselves.
“Everyone thinks they’re managers. But being a manager doesn’t mean you’re great, it means waking up and creating opportunities for your client.
“You don’t just wait for emails and confirm bookings and then call yourself a manager,” said another source.
Soweto’s Finest recently branched out into music and released a single last year August, titled Uzeleni, which failed to make an impact in the local music industry.
The song was produced by DJ Cleo and the group disputed claims that it was signed under his stable.
“We wanted to try doing things on our own. There’s no bad blood between us, we still have a good a relationship with ShowLove,” team leader Tom London said.
Tibz said: “That was a long time ago. Write whatever you like.”
