MISS Soweto 2015 finalist Nomzamo Mpophoma (20) is confident that she’ll walk away with the crown.
The second-year social work student from Pimville said: “I’m so happy that I’ve made it this far, considering that it’s my first time entering the pageant. I know that I have something to offer young people in the kasi if I were to win the competition. My wish is for them to get involved in sport and stay out of trouble.”
Nomzamo said self-belief is the way to go and that young people should always strive for the best.
Mokhele Makhothi, marketing manager of the event, said: “Miss Soweto plays an important role in offering a platform for girls and women from Soweto to be noticed.
“Contestants receive mentorship and guidance that help them to excel in life.”
