Late kwaito star Mandoza’s legacy lives on.

Born in Zola, Soweto, Mandoza died two years ago after a battle with cancer.

The Nkalakatha hitmaker, whose real name was Mduduzi Tshabalala, would have celebrated his 40th birthday on Wednesday.

The Mandoza Foundation NPC will celebrate his life by releasing some of his music on the day.

The track titled Back For More is produced by Gabi le Roux and has never been heard before.

It will be available on music streaming platforms for download.

The second song, Mandoza Tshabalala, features musician Pascal, a rehabilitated criminal from Zola who now lives in East London.

Pascal worked with Mandoza prior to his death.

He was one of the performers at his funeral.

The foundation said: “Pascal is passionate about expanding Mandoza’s legacy and keeping his brand alive in the hearts of many.”

The foundation will launch Mandoza’s clothing range in partnership with Magents Clothing – a well-known South African clothing company with stores across the country – for manufacture and distribution.

The products are exclusively available online at www.mandozaholdings.co.za

Proceeds from the sale of the products will go to the Mandoza Foundation, which is aimed at fighting cancer.
