Afro soul crooner, Nathi Mankayi is about to add "daddy" to his titles.

The Nomvula hit-maker and his wife of 2 years, Mpho are expecting a bundle of joy next month.

A source close to the couple revealed to Daily Sun that the mom-to-be is heavily pregnant and the pair is excited to become parents.

"They are happy and the baby is coming in July," said the mole.

Nathi came into the scene in 2015 with his hit debut album, Buyelekhaya and soon followed up with Umbulelo Wam last year.

He and Mpho got married in a secret ceremony in Nathi's home town, Maclear, Eastern Cape in 2015.

When contacted for comment, he asked to be called later.

"Can you please call me in the afternoon so I can sit down and speak to you properly? I'm about to go into a meeting now," he said.

Speaking to his manager, Sipho Nyathela, he preferred not to comment because Nathi is very private.

"He's a very private guy so I'd rather not comment on the matter. Send him a text if you can't reach him, he's likely to respond there," said Sipho.

Subsequent attempts to reach Nathi failed and he did not respond to SMS.
