Iconic musician Lebo Mathosa died on the 23rd of October in 2006 after having had a spectacular 12-year career in music.

And today, 11 years on, her legacy stands amongst the giants.

The singer, songwriter, dancer and ultimate trendsetter left the entire country shattered when she tragically lost her life tragically in a car accident.

Lebo rose to fame in 1994 as the lead singer and dancer of Boom Shaka

With her electric blond hair and irresistible dance moves, Lebo stole the hearts of many young Africans of the era.

Her charm continues to this day, with new-age artists paying homage to the icon and many young music lovers blasting her music everywhere.

Today, South Africans remember her fierce spirit, her passion for music and her unforgettable hits.
