THE new Mrs World, South African beauty Candice Abrahams, says it has always been her dream to represent her country.
The Schwarzkopf Professional Mrs South Africa 2016 was crowned Mrs World 2016 this weekend in Dongguan, China at the 27th annual Mrs World pageant.
She beat 35 other hopefuls as the fairest of them all in the world.
“What an honour to be able to bring the Mrs World crown home to South Africa.
“It has always been a dream of mine to win Mrs South Africa and to represent my country on the international stage.
“To be bringing home the title is just the cherry on top of my achievements over the past year.
“I look forward to making South Africa and the continent proud,” Candice said.
Mrs South Africa CEO Joani Johnson said they are over the moon that Candice has taken the title.
“It is something we have been working towards since she was crowned in October last year.”
Model and fashion blogger Candice is a mum of two.
She believes in grooming and empowering the youth.
The beauty is married to Metro FM radio jock and club DJ Ismail Abrahams.
Ismail posted a picture of her on Instagram.
He captioned it: “Well done to Wifey!!! Mrs World! And no, I am not Mr World, just DJman.”
Candice will arrive back home today from her trip with her crown.
A media conference will be held in her honour and to give South Africans the chance to get a look at her sparkling crown.
