Moeketsi Phatsoane says he started spinning discs when he was still in high school.

MOEKETSI Phatsoane is not only a model, he is also a DJ.

The 25-year-old from Sharpeville in the Vaal said his love of music started when he was in high school.

He got his big break in 2012 when he played at various gigs around the Vaal.

In 2013, he was offered a slot on VUT FM.

“Since then I’ve never looked back,” said Moeketsi, aka Max Da DJ.

He’s a resident DJ at popular nightclubs around the Vaal.

“I’m a versatile DJ. I play house, pop, and many other genres. I express myself very well behind the decks.

“I am a different person because I give it my all when I spin the discs,” he told SunBuzz.

He has worked with popular artists such as JustSam and DJ Pulse from the Vaal.

Moeketsi said modelling is his other passion.

“I started modelling in high school, and was the second runner-up in the Mr Vaal competition in 2014,” he toldSunBuzz.

“I’ve always been that guy who enjoys looking good and being neat.

“I want to show people that even if you come from a kasi like Sharpeville, you can still achieve your dreams.”
