MODEL Melody Dlamini (25) from Thulamahashe, near Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga has started an initiative called Give a Girl a Pad.

It seeks to collect sanitary towels to donate to needy children. Together with her friends, they approach business people and shops to donate sanitary towels which they will distribute to girls at primary and secondary schools across Bushbuckridge in January.

Melody is the founder of the Mellow Revamp modelling agency which helps upcoming beauty queens find their platform in the industry.

“We are targeting schools from rural communities. We realise that children from villages are the ones who need them the most,” she said.
