As is the nature of the game, when a big-name celebrity gets married, more and more details about their connection will rise to the surface.

And often, it is not the couple who reveal the really interesting information, but those around them.

A few days ago, television personality, Nandi Madida, took to Instagram to share her regret for not being able to make it to the Jones' wedding.

In the post, Nandi let slip that the couple met a very long time ago.

In fact, Minnie and Quinton met at Nandi’s family home in Durban when they were teenagers.

PICS: MINNIE'S DAD WALKED HER DOWN THE AISLE!

“Heartbroken I can't make it to your big day @minniedlamini but what makes me feel better is knowing that you two met for the first time at our family home when you were still in your teens. It's a story I will tell your kids and grandkids.”

“ I feel lucky to have witnessed the very first day you two met. Lucky to have witnessed the beginning of a beautiful journey. Love you so much! So proud of you @minniedlamini @squinzo,” Nandi said.
