KALAWA JAZMEE allegedly has a new studio chef!

Sunday Sun has heard claims that faded kwaito artist Mapaputsi is a chef at Kalawa Jazmee headquarters in Jozi.

“Mapaputsi”, real name Sandile Ngwenya, is said to be grateful for the opportunity to do something, rather than waste his time doing nothing.

Sources said the Izinja hitmaker takes his new job seriously.

“When we visit Kalawa we know someone will serve us delicious meals. I’m happy for him because cooking keeps him busy and the company pays him. His career has taken a nosedive, but he’s a strong man. He refuses to allow such a bad situation to overshadow him,” said the source.

Last month, Mapaputsi dropped a song online titled Shooting Star. But it has failed to impress.

A second source said this could be a turning point for Mapaputsi in the local music industry.

“Associating with a major stable like Kalawa can revive his career. We all know he’s a legend and can cause havoc in the game. I think this is a wise move for him,” said the source.

The SunTeam contacted Mapaputsi about his new job, and he confirmed he’s the best cook. But he denied claims of being a chef.

It’s been a while since I visited Kalawa. I used to hang around there. They’re my friends. Cooking for them? That’s news to me!” he said.
