Kim Wabantwana landed in hot water after a video of him pulling up a pupil’s dress went viral.

HE might have Down syndrome, but that doesn’t give him the right to abuse kids.

This was the view of SunLanders after seeing a video of Kim Mngomezulu, popularly known as Kim Wabantwana, dancing with pupils and lifting their school dresses in the process.

Some warned the KZN-based musician he would be arrested while others described his behaviour as unacceptable.

Floyd Funky-LowLife Avenue wrote: “This old man is groping a child. Where’s our moral compass as a society?”

Alex Mdluli-Bhekiswayo wrote: “He will quickly lose his fame if he keeps touching kids like this.”

James Mokhali wrote: “You will be arrested, Kim!”

Ntuthuko Ndlela wrote: “This is unacceptable. What message are we sending about our girl children?”

Later, the same video was posted on Kim’s Facebook page accompanied by a caption: “Awu! Nkosi yam. Bengidlala”, which means “Oh, my God! I was only fooling around.”

Kim could not be reached for comment.

His manager, Nhlanhla Mthembu of Mabhodisa Entertainment said they’ve seen the video.

“We would like to apologise to the nation for it,” he said.

He said they’ve talked to the girl’s family and apologised.
