GOSPEL singer and I Want To Sing Gospel 2011 winner Nhlakanipho Cele needs your prayers!

The gospel man and his fiancee were involved in a terrible car accident that landed them both in ICU on Tuesday night.

By yesterday Nhlakanipho was in a recovery ward at the eThekweni Hospital, but his fiancee remains in a coma in intensive care.

He told Daily Sun he was driving around Durban for his Asibasize project with his fiancee Duduzile Mkhize. “My car went off the road and the next thing I found myself in hospital,” he said.

The accident happened on North Coast Road in Durban.

“I am not coping at all. I am going through a lot of trauma right now. My fiancee is in a critical condition,” he said.

“She is meant to be my second wife after my first wife died in 2013.”

Nhlakanipho’s first wife Silindile Dlela died in hospital.

Despite being married and having a child together, the couple had to keep their relationship secret as she worked at Tox Media, the production team behind SABC2’s I Want To Sing Gospel.

“I have faced a lot of challenges in my life but I love God and I know he is always here for me. In the book of Job he says: ‘After everything, you know my ways’ and He knows my path,” said Nhlakanipho.

His manager Lionel Jamela of Jamela Entertainment said the news came as a shock but they were glad he was out of ICU as they plan on promoting his new album.
