RENOWNED television personality Minnie Dlamini is the first female to grace the cover of KickOff Magazine.
The editor of KickOff magazine, Sibusiso Mjikeliso, announced today on his Twitter page, that Minnie is the first woman to ever be on the cover and that she has “one heck of a story to tell too”.
The issue will hit stands in March.
KickOff magazine is a publication dedicated to all things related to South African soccer, it’s players and all the behind the scenes news.
According to their Twitter page, they are SA’s football authority.
Although people on social media seem to be happy for Minnie, most of them think that the honour should’ve gone to a female soccer player instead of a media personality.
The JVW Girls Football Development commented on Twitter saying, “This is a HUGE step forward for women's football, but would be nice to also include current @Banyana_Banyana players in the magazine”.
Mjikeliso says that the Editor's letter in the March edition of KickOff will explain the decision.
Minnie has not as yet commented.
