MNCEDISI Mnguni can’t wait to bring the hottest artists to his kasi.

The annual Touch Big Sky Picnic will take place in Dobsonville, Soweto on 27 January.

Mncedisi (36), better known as DJ Big Sky, told SunBuzz that the aim is to host a world class event in the middle of the kasi.

“The concept behind Touch Big Sky Picnic started in 2016.

“I wanted to host a picnic that would celebrate my kasi while contributing to the local economy,” he said.

He said that people should expect performances from musicians such as Shekinah, L’vovo Derrango, Jub Jub, Nadia Nakai, Shimza, Mo Flava, Killa Kau and Team Mosha.

Mncedisi has released a new single called Shelela, featuring hip hop duo Mad on Dough.

“The single is about the pursuit of a comfortable life with no friction.

“The collaboration with Mad on Dough was organic, and we tried to create an authentic Soweto sound,” said Mncedisi.

The Touch Big Sky Picnic takes place at Dobsonville Rugby Stadium on 27 January.

It starts at noon until 2am.

Tickets are available at Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers from R150 to R350.
