Local DJ and producer who also has global recognition for co-producing Drake's One Dance, DJ Maphorisa is set to perform at the Passport Express music festival in Atlanta, USA on 13 August.
The international music festival is hosted by Akon. Last year, a portion of the proceeds of tickets sold was contributed to the Akon Lighting Africa Solar Academy in an effort to put electricity in 600 million homes in 14 countries & the organizers plan to maintain the practice at all festivals moving forward.
Maphorisa will share a stage with the likes of Akon, Shaggy and Rich Homie Quan.
