FADED kwaito star Mshoza seems to be down and out.
The singer, real name Nomasonto Maswanganyi, allegedly shocked
commuters when she rocked up all the way from Mpumalanga, at a busy Richards Bay
taxi rank.
The Kortes hitmaker allegedly arrived in a public
Toyota Quantum, to visit Angela Gwala.
Angela is married to kwaito star “Msawawa”, real name Siboniso
Dlamini.
Witnesses, who wished to remain anonymous, told the SunTeam Mshoza
was in Richards Bay to ask Angela for a loan. Angela works as a machine
operator.
A source said Mshoza is going through some financial trouble.
The source also claimed Angela waited for Mshoza at the taxi rank
in her white BMW Coupe.
“Some people couldn’t recognise her (Mshoza) as she was wearing big
sunglasses,” the source added.
Another source said things didn’t look good for Mshoza as Angela
also had to offer her a lift to the recent Metro FM Music Awards, which were in
Durban.
Angela confirmed Mshoza visited Richards Bay, and that she went
with her to Durban on the Thursday before the Metro FM Music Awards.
“She came for a visit. I can’t confirm or deny she came by taxi.
She came to visit, nothing else. We’re very close,” Angela said.
Sources close to the situation claimed Mshoza visited Angela to ask
for a loan as she’s in financial trouble.
A source, who was with the two, told Sunday Sun: “Do
you think someone can come all the way from Mpumalanga in a taxi just to chat
with someone? No!
“She’s desperate and saw that we were with them. It was hard for
her to ask Angela what she had come for. She wanted to talk, but we were with
them, so she coulldn’t state her case.”
The source added: “Angela offered her a lift to Durban since Mshoza
wanted to attend the Metros. I don’t know if she asked for the money.”
Mshoza said: “Hayibo! I don’t know what you’re talking about. I was
booked at Elangeni Hotel and I’ve never been to Richards Bay. I’ve never seen
Msawawa’s wife and I don’t know her.”
