As we inch closer and closer to the big day for Cassper Nyovest, more and more of his industry friends and fans, are lending a helping hand.
Cassper, real name, Refiloe Phoolo, will attempt to fill up the iconic FNB Stadium in Soweto, the largest stadium on the African continent, on December 2nd.
However, the rapper is struggling to raise the funds to put together the production he dreams of.
The rapper spoke to Masechaba Ndlovu on Metro FM last week, revealing that he is "broke as hell" and cannot find sponsors to help him raise the R15 million he so desperately needs for the show.
“I’m broke as hell. I almost sold my cars. I am flat broke. I have two employees that haven't been paid this month. This is the first time since [Fill Up] The Dome that I don't have money, I am in debt," he said.
Cassper has promised fans a world-class production and in order to deliver, he will need all the help he can get.
“Right now we don't have any sponsors so I am financing it myself: The stage, the marketing and the venue. I hope that sponsors will come on board and help. I feel like we have proven ourselves before with two sold out shows (at The TicketPro Dome and Orlando Stadium) and so it's a safe investment,” Cassper told TshisaLive three months ago.
Now that he has opened up about his financial woes, Cassper is receiving an overwhelming show of support from fellow South African musicians.
Rapper, Riky Rick has spend R20 000 on tickets for next month’s show.
SA Police Minister, Fikile Mbalula has pledged to buy 10 tickets, while businessman Vusi Thembekwayo has promised to spend R5 000 on tickets.
Other high profile stars who have lent a helping hand include Black Coffee who offered to spend R20 000 on buying tickets for fans, and Oskido who chipped in R50 000.
Kwesta, Ms Cosmo, Hulisani Ravele, Thando Thabethe, Major League DJz, Gigi LaMayne, Brian Temba, and Da L.E.S have used their social media platforms to promote #FillUpFNB.
