MAKE-UP artist Muzi Zuma is furious with TV personality Bonang Matheba.
Muzi claimed Bonang didn’t pay him the R25 000 she owed him for work he did on Mzansi Magic’s KFC Taste Kitchen.
After taking to social media to complain, Muzi said the contract he had with Bonang stated he would be paid on 5 July, but he still hasn’t seen the money.
“I contacted her management team and they told me Bonang would only be paid on 13 September for the show. I waited for my money until the festive season.”
Muzi claimed despite not paying him, Bonang contacted him on WhatsApp last month to ask him to do her make-up.
“She knows very well that she owes me money I have worked hard for. But I’m leaving this matter to God because going the legal route will only cost more money.”
Muzi said what angered him most was that he had to borrow money from his parents to travel to shoots so he could do Bonang’s make-up.
“I wasn’t working at that time and my parents had to give me their last money. I promised them I would pay it back.”
When Daily Sun contacted Bonang for comment, she said she could only speak in two hours time. But she didn’t answer her phone when she was contacted again.
Davin Phillips, director of CSA, Bonang’s new management company, said Muzi’s claim is news to them.
“This expense has already been charged to Bonang by her previous management company, who should have paid Muzi.
“Let it be recorded that we have yet to be contacted by Muzi, which we find surprising considering the claims being made on Twitter,” said Phillips.
