BAGS are packed and all the outfits and dancing shoes are ready.

Tomorrow, the who’s who of Mzansi will be gathering at the annual Vodacom Durban July taking place at the Greyville Racecourse in Durban.

Known for her sexy body, bubbling personality and skilled dancing, TV personality Khanyi Mbau will set tongues wagging. She will be dressed by celebrity designer Matome Seshoka of Antherline Couture.

This year’s Durban July theme is “Leading the Pack” and Khanyi is planning to stand out.

“The theme itself gives you an idea. It’s about being a leader, standing out and being the alpha female.

“The colours will be those of royalty and gambling.

“The aim is to stand out and lead. My dress will definitely have all those elements,” she said.

Khanyi said those who will not attend the event this year will lose out.

Matome said: “There should be you and then the rest.

“Think of Khaleesi’s outstanding presence in the TV series Game of Thrones. Think of Beyonce’s fierceness in Destiny’s Child, Julius Malema’s boldness in politics fused with AKA’s unparalleled swag in hip hop.

“It’s all about expressing your dominance at a social event through what you are wearing.

“The creation should scream advanced innovation and power. It should command envy.”

He said no one who will be attending the event this year should be scared to push boundaries or turn heads with their outfit.

Matome will also dress award-winning rapper Fifi Cooper and Generations stars Andisiwe Dweba and Chiedza Mhende.

Joining the A-listers will be Daily Sun’s competition winner, Thandiwe Hloele (25) and her partner courtesy of TAB.
