ACTRESS and singer Thandeka Zulu has bounced back!
Following her unexpected sacking from the popular SABC1 telenovela
Uzalo, Thandeka – who played the character of Nombuso Mdletshe –
has landed a role in a Zulu comedy movie scheduled to be shot later this month
in Bergville, KZN.
The star, born in Tongaat, confirmed her role to SunBuzz
but she refused to give more information, saying it was against her contract
guidelines.
“At the moment, my contract conditions do not allow me to say
anything more about the movie.
“But I will reveal all when the time is right,” said
Thandeka.
She said her character in Uzalo helped her acting
career to grow.
“Uzalo also helped me to become known to people in
South Africa. Even though I’m no longer part of its cast, wherever I go, people
still recognise me and get excited.
“Because of Nombuso, I have become an ambassador for KZN Sport and
Recreation,” Thandeka said.
Thandeka also played a leading role in the movie Kwaito
Church Service2 which was founded by Pastor Mjosty.
Thandeka added that her group, Afrosoul, is busy recording its new
album with Uhologo Production after parting ways with KZN Music House.
