CICI has asked the court to give her more time to prepare for an assault case Arthur Mafokate opened against her.
The award-winning singer, whose real name is Busisiwe Thwala, made a brief appearance in the Midrand Magistrates Court in Joburg yesterday.
Her lawyer asked for the matter to be postponed for at least three weeks so she could consult with her client.
The Runaway hit-maker, who was using crutches, was allowed to address the court from the gallery.
ICYMI: CICI REFUSES OUT OF COURT NEGOTIATIONS!
The matter was postponed to 21 September.
Arthur laid a counter charge against Cici after she opened a case of assault against him in June.
She claimed the kwaito star, her former boyfriend, had dragged her behind a car, leading to her pelvic bones breaking.
Arthur claimed she had thrown a chair at him during an argument.
Arthur appeared in the same court on Friday.
It has emerged that Arthur could face more charges as the National Prosecuting Authority has instructed the investigating officer to establish whether charges of negligent and reckless driving could be pressed.
Gauteng NPA spokeswoman Phindi Mjonondwana said as Arthur had not yet pleaded, there was nothing stopping them from adding more charges.
Arthur is due to appear in court on 20 September to allow for further investigation and possible mediation between him and Cici.
