ON MONDAY, DJ Heavy K was the happiest man in the world as he became a father for the first time.

But yesterday he had to deal with the sad news that his mum had died.

“Yesterday I was the happiest guy on earth because I just had my first kid! My son was born!” said the man known as Drumboss.

But then he said: “My mother was so excited and today she decided to leave me! Mama rest in peace. I never thought I would see this day so soon. I’m destroyed!”

And then he made his mum a promise: “Till we meet again, Thobeka Joyce Siqula, your son will always love you and I will keep making you proud.”

As soon as he shared his heartbreak, people in the industry and fans around Mzansi sent him comforting messages.

Heavy K’s manager Lerato Masisi told Daily Sun this was indeed a heavy blow for Heavy K.

“He appreciates the love and support that he has been receiving from all his fans,” she said.

She said Heavy K’s mum suffered a short illness which led to her sudden death.

“Heavy K is devastated. He was looking forward to his mother playing an important part in his newborn son’s life,” said Lerato.

“When he shared the news of his new son with his mother she said she couldn’t wait to see the little bundle of joy.

“But sadly this never happened.”
