Gayton McKenzie's PA ropes in Afro Natives (AFNA) for upcoming elections.

THE Patriotic Alliance (PA) has roped in Afro Natives (AFNA) to vote with it on Wednesday, 29 May.

This was after the smaller party failed to be on the ballot because of technical glitches with the Independent Electoral Commission’s (IEC) systems.

AFNA president Sifiso Shezi confirmed on Tuesday, 30 April that his party will vote under PA.

“We will be campaigning with Patriotic Alliance for all the provinces it has membership under as per the national and provincial consultative meetings it has conducted with its leadership, respectively,” he said.

Shezi said they're working hard on the ground, campaigning and ensuring that they are part of the race.

The decision came after a high-level delegation that was led by Shezi had fruitful talks with PA’s deputy president Kenny Kunene and PA’s spokesman, Steve Motale.

“This wise decision was agreed upon and welcomed unanimously by all provinces, especially Gauteng, KZN, Eastern Cape, and he North West.

“This revolutionary decision was reached by both parties, leading to what is to be a watershed moment in the history of the elections of this country, where different strategies have been deployed by many new and experienced political parties,” Shezi said.

He pointed out that the track record of PA in local government and their six-point plan strategy on their manifesto is what made AFNA take a stand to support PA in this upcoming election.

Shezi’s party, like PA, calls for closure of borders and put South Africans first.

“PA’s manifesto is the most practical one and straight to the point. Patriotic Alliance is the only practical party in addressing the current challenges as it got the requisite skills under the leadership of Gayton MacKenzie and the rest of the PA’s leadership,” he said.

Shezi said fighting crime and restoring a God-fearing nation in a country that has lost almost all its morals and ethics is what they pursue all South Africans to consider when taking to the polls.
