UKHOZI FM programmes manager Pearl Maseko and former SABC news reporter, Unathi Binqose started the month of love by saying "I do" in Bhamshela, KZN on Saturday, 3 February.

The couple is also expecting a child.

Their wedding was attended by Ukhozi FM presenters including Tshatha Ngobe, Dudu Khoza and Zanele Mbokazi.

Pearl, who was appointed as Ukhozi FM programmes manager in March 2023, said she dated Unathi, who is now Eastern Cape Transport spokesman, for seven years and he became her best friend.

“I’m happy like all women who marry the love of their life. I’m happy that I’m marrying a man I love. We are also expecting a child. The seven years of our love relationship have been a good journey for us because we understand each other,” she said.

She said what makes things easier is that they both understand and have media industry experience.

“The fun thing is that when we met, I didn’t know him, and he didn’t know me as well and the place where we met had nothing to do with media.

“We only found out that we were both in the media space when we had already started dating and were asking each other questions to get to know each other better,” she said.

Daily Sun tried to contact Unathi, but his phone was off.
